Matt Modleski talks about the shortage of primary care physicians in the U.S. Modleski, a healthcare consultant, states that while 60 percent of healthcare is consumed by geriatric patients, only 1 percent are geriatric specialist. He states that most of the shortages are in rural areas, but that the gap can be filled with physician extenders like NPs and PAs.
