Don Rieck is executive director for the Center for Media and Public Affairs. He is also the executive director of www.stats.org, a nonprofit that examines the use and abuse of science and statistics in the media. He reflects on the death of Michael Jackson, and the “celebrity rotten culture" that plagues our airwaves.
