 Communications professor Kirsten Johnson believes citizen journalists many times do not write about the same things reporters are trained to care about and, most importantly, have a difficult time reporting objectively. However, she does believe that citizen journalism helps by providing a greater diversity of perspectives and, thus, better ideas.
