Roger Beasley is the vice-president and director of strategic planning for Erwin-Penland, one of the largest advertising/marketing firms in the Southeast. He discusses the effect of social media on marketing campaigns and how to keep traditional news from feeling like "old news." Social media aren't the enemy to these sources, though. As Beasley says, online conversations in social spaces are fueling passive communications, not replacing them.
