Andy Abramson is the CEO of Comunicano, a unique communications and marketing agency. He explains how the change in mass media culture has allowed for oligopolies such as radio and cable television networks to exist today. The future of advertising is a heavy determinant in the prosperity of these companies and other forms of mass media, he says. Because newspapers did not capitalize on optimal networking that the internet created, Abramson says that they missed the mark completely. His advice as we approach 2010: it's time for the industry to make the change and adapt to a content and community-style business.
