About Us OurBlook is a website combining the dynamic online atmosphere of a blog with the researched, in-depth analysis of a book. Our online community is a collaborative resource created and used by academics, public policy officials, and journalists at the natural intersection of current events and the media. Everyday, these experts join OurBlook to engage in an on-going conversation with their colleagues that seeks out the responsible, sustainable ideas that will define our future.

* Our roster of interviews includes NPR personality Bob Garfield, Wiki founder Jimmy Wales, Columbia U social media expert Prof. Sree Sreenivasan and former Wall Street Journal publisher Gordon Crovitz.
* Our university partnership is going strong, as U of Iowa journalism students posted class articles on our site last spring and will do so again this fall. We're also working with classes at Baylor, Hofstra and Sam Houston State. We have five interns, and they have formed a Center for Aspiring Journalists on our site.
* We are nearing completion of a blook ... an online book synthesized from contributor interviews ... on the Future of Journalism (If There Is One) ... 12 chapters on citizen journos, social media, new pay websites, digital readers, the journalist of the future, and more. 100,000-plus hits so far. We're also doing a blook on the Future of Education.
* The world is noticing: OurBlook has been mentioned in a profile of site founder Paul Mongerson in Gulf Coast Business Review, in articles by Gerry Storch and Sandy Ordonez in the Online Journalism Review of the Knight Digital Media Center, in forbes.com, in the MediaShift feature of pbs.org, in the Romenesko daily media news roundup on poynter.org and in the University of Michigan's Journal of Electronic Publishing.
* We have created a Twitter account: http://twitter.com/ourblook
* The Center for Media and Public Affairs has us featured on its homepage and its affiliated stats.org. We have begun a collaboration with this well-known media think tank.
