The University of Georgia (UGA) is a public research university located in Athens Georgia. It is state's flagship institution of higher education, as well as the oldest. UGA's motto is "to teach, to serve and to inquire into the nature of things."  The University comprises sixteen schools and colleges, and has a high ranking journalism program.
