Introducing Our Fourth Branch of Government; The Media

by Lance Winslow, founder of Car Wash Guys, one of the largest car wash franchise systems

In the United States, we have checks and balances of our government already set up. Of course, now we have a fourth branch of government emerging; the mass media, which appears to be controlling the minds of the people. Should we now consider that the Government has a fourth branch? It's obvious how this fourth branch of government is intermingled in every aspect of our Republic and since this is quite evident, should be eliminate another branch of government?

For instance we could get rid of the Justice Department and try everyone in the court of public opinion and then stone people we did not like? We could replace the executive branch, it would not be needed, we can hire the most popular person propped up by the media and why would it have to be an actual person anyway, let the media pick an avatar for us?

Legislative Branch, oh, please that is so 1980s, we can simply do whatever the mass media surveys showed was the will of the people? No need for avatar'ed vetoes, if all the people vote to attack a nation that sponsors international terrorism, so be it.

We could ditch the Congress and Senate, that seems to be a duplication, we do not need both of them? Maybe the lobbyists could all get new jobs and work selling TV advertising or do the layout and graphic work design for the New York Times? People could vote instantly with their remote control; perhaps order themselves larger payouts of social security or better benefits for healthcare?

Indeed, it would be more efficient that way, as currently the government wastes 45% in administration of such services. Now you could order whatever you want on TV, with free gifts if you order today, all delivered to your home or direct deposit into your bank account. You do not need a government for that, The Media and TV Industrial Complex can do it all for you!

Who needs the government when you have the media, which tells you how to think, what to think, and why you should be thinking there? Simply allow the media to run our civilization, as it is doubtful they could do any worse than the Congress or Senate, Justice Department or Blob of Bureaucracy. I vote the Media for President, as they are choosing our Presidents now anyway, and since they control the minds of the masses, why bother to spend 21 months to elect one?

You just think your vote is your own and you own your mind, Silly you.
